Christmas in Blowing Rock begins with the lighting of the town on Friday evening after Thanksgiving. This is preceded with live Mtn music, hot chocolate and good ole family fun. On Saturday following Thanksgiving, The Blowing Rock Christmas Parade brightens downtown Main Street.

Grandfather Mountain is a non-profit attraction, and a North Carolina state park near Linville, North Carolina.
